Tuesday's aren't so bad. It just proves I survived Monday.
This past Tuesday was extra special, as we celebrated my friend Samantha's birthday. A small group of us gathered at a Mexican restaurant in South Charlotte to celebrate her and do some laughing; lots of laughing I might add. Good friends are hard to find and I am so very grateful for this crew.
I have a jam packed rest of the week. Spring weather has finally decided to show up here in Charlotte and we are supposed to hit the low 70s today, so that means I will be OUTSIDE.
Work For Your Beer is hosting Waggle For Your Beer at Unknown Brewery, so grab your dog and lets get our tails moving with this FREE 1.5 mile guided, group walk/run through the South End and Dilworth neighborhoods. Afterwards, plan to come relax on the patio and take in this awesome weather. Unknown just did over a half a million dollars in renovations, with a new rooftop bar that looks into the city. Unfortunately, due to county laws dogs are NOT allowed up on the rooftop patio. They are, however, allowed on the downstairs patio out front.
What is Sweatnet you ask? SweatNET is a mobile app that connects you to affordable and accessible workout classes in your community. No matter if you are an athlete or if you only have been thinking about your new-years resolution, SweatNET is a great way to get out there and try new stuff. SweatNET is also a FREE informational platform to connect you to studios, businesses and activities around your city.
**UPDATE: I just heard the blacklight yoga event has officially SOLD OUT! Wow - Charlotte has spoken and we like things that glow! I have been looking forward to this class for a few weeks, so I will let you guys know how it goes.
I am also squeezing in a tour of the new brewery going in over in SouthEnd/LOSO later today. Brewers at 4001 Yancey is located in the historic Bowers Mill building beside Old Meck Brewery. They will feature brews by both Southern Tier and Victory and are scheduled to open later this Spring. If you follow me on Instagram stories, I will be sharing the tour. I am really excited about this spot; it is going to be HUGE.
I don't know about yall, but I am looking forward to the long holiday weekend, spent with my friends and family. Much needed R&R. I'm in search of a hammock and a DND sign. Mother Nature looks like she finally got her shit together and we are going to have a nice sunny Easter! You guys be safe.
